Australian artist David Bromley and his wife Yuge welcome little Bei Bel

Last week I had the great honour of travelling to Melbourne, Victoria to photograph David and Yuge Bromley’s second beautiful daughter together, Bei Bel.

I first met David over five years ago when my husband surprised me with a portrait sitting for an anniversary gift.  Yes, I was SURPRISED and incredibly EXCITED!! An utterly amazing experience I will treasure forever with the resulting piece of art taking pride of place in our dining room.  My husband and I have remained friends with David and Yuge ever since.

Not only has David been listed multiple times as one of Australia’s 50 most collectable artists he is one of the most generous and inspirational people I have had the pleasure of meeting.  A true creative inspiration on so many levels.  Unfortunately I was unable to photograph their first daughter Wen three years ago due to logistical issues, however, this time we were able to plan a little further in advance {and an extra visit with my children in Melbourne was just icing on the cake}.

It was an incredible honour to be welcomed so warmly into David and Yuge’s home and given complete artistic freedom to capture this incredibly special time.  I also enjoyed the challenge of working out of my studio….{and comfort zone} by incorporating a little more lifestyle into the shoot.

Thanks to my teaching partner in crime Elise Gow Photography for being my extra pair of creative hands on the road trip.

Here’s a little sneak peek.
